The Jay Crew

Just the other day, I was checking on the analytics page for this blog. It provides me with all sorts of info – number of visitors, number of comments, source of traffic, and more. One surprising bit of information jumped off the page and caught my eye. I have a follower! One (1) follower. Oh my goodnesss, how exciting.

To celebrate, I’d like to take today’s blog post to publicly acknowledge my very first follower – Lori Shamblin! Lori was Jay’s Den Leader during his short-lived stint as a Cub Scout.  She and I also were in a Book Club together for a brief period of time (Random Memory: the very first time I ate edamame? At Lori’s house.)  It was such a thrill to receive a notification that I actually had a follower and it made me smile when I saw it was you, Lori.

So, I wonder if others among you might want to join Lori? If so, you can look to the right of your screen and take the very simple step of pushing the Follow button right there in blue.

Then I got to thinking,

If I got a bunch of followers, I’d probably have to give the group a name. That would make this more fun! 

Then I thought,

I’ll do another contest, like the one we did to name the blog!

THEN a name just popped into my head, The Jay Crew! 

So, what do you think? Do you want to be a member of The Jay Crew? If we lay low and avoid offending a much more famous and probably well-represented, deep-pocketed retail institution of the same name, I think it could be really cool!

I’ll wait a reasonable amount of time before I print the tees, in case I do get a cease and desist letter in the mail.
